Lockheed Martin's Communications team is looking for a summer intern to support executive communications and innovation storytelling. The ideal candidate has coursework or experience in communications or journalism and is interested in exploring a career in corporate communications. As part of a dynamic and supportive team, you'll help drive key strategic projects and priorities, including developing content for multiple platforms, conducting research to inform communications initiatives and supporting executive engagements. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a real impact. Basic Qualifications: • Actively pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field • Basic understanding of communications strategy, channels and tactics • Excellent organizational skills with stellar task prioritization and attention to detail. • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills – able to clearly explain complex topics in a compelling way • Collaborative, polished interpersonal skills; comfortable working with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment Desired Skills: • Working knowledge and use of gen AI. • Experience creating and publishing content for web, social media or email • Self-starter who can take initiative, manage time well, and deliver under tight deadlines • Team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn • Fast learner with a strong sense of urgency and curiosity
