At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce c The GEOINT Visualization Services (GVS) system, managed by the Strata program, was first deployed in 2006 and became a Program of Record in 2008. The Strata program's mission is to provide visualization services that facilitate access to GEOINT data and products in an online, on-demand environment to agencies across the Federal Government. The Strata suite of services is provided to the community in various formats to allow integration across a wide variety of client technologies and applications. Strata also provides applications that can be used to visualize GEOINT as well as additional utilities & technologies that aid in visualization. The Strata Program is seeking a Release Train Engineer to become a member of their team. As a key player in the Agile team environment, the Release Train Engineer will facilitate the release train processes, escalate impediments, manage risks, assure value delivery, drive continuous improvement, and coach teammates on Agile processes and best practices. The ultimate responsibility of this role is to drive release train execution, facilitating program events such as Program Increment (PI) Planning and Scrum of Scrums Meetings, and creating an environment of mutual influence, trust, and transparency. The Release Train Engineer will support multiple teams across the program, interfacing with Development scrum teams, Operations, System Deployment, Geospatial Content, Test, Accreditation and Authorization (Cybersecurity), and Systems Engineering teams, and collaborating cross-functionally with government personnel, customer partners, subcontractors, local engineers, and geographically dispersed teammates. To be successful in this role, candidates should have a strong foundation in Agile methodologies, particularly in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and experience in coaching teams and facilitating release train processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the Release Train Engineer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the release train. A typical day for the Release Train Engineer will involve facilitating meetings, coaching team members, analyzing and resolving impediments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Applicants need to have both strong technical and personal skills.
