Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an LNG Fuel Station Equipment Fitter, based in Mumbai. Responsibilities include the installation, operation, and maintenance of LNG station equipment and systems. The role requires assembling, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing the performance of technical components used in LNG fuel stations. The fitter will also ensure compliance with safety regulations, perform routine inspections, and collaborate with team members for efficient operations of the assigned station.
Installation & Commissioning
- Assemble and install LNG storage tanks, dispensers, and pump skids according to engineering drawings and safety standards.
- Connect cryogenic piping, valves, and fittings, ensuring leak-free and insulated joints.
- Calibrate dispensers and pumps for accurate fuel measurement.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks and assist in system start-up.
Operations
- Monitor LNG dispensing operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Operate cryogenic pumps, vaporizers, and dispensers during fueling.
- Record operational parameters (pressure, temperature, flow rates) for reporting and compliance.
- Support customers and drivers during fueling, ensuring proper handling of LNG equipment.
Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on tanks, pumps, dispensers, and skid-mounted equipment.
- Inspect insulation, seals, and safety valves for wear and tear.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
- Replace defective parts and ensure minimal downtime.
- Conduct leak detection tests and safety audits.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow PESO, OISD, and international cryogenic safety standards.
- Maintain proper PPE usage and enforce safety protocols during operations.
- Document maintenance logs, incident reports, and compliance records.
- Participate in emergency drills and respond to equipment failures or LNG spills.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical fitting and cryogenic handling skills.
- Knowledge of LNG properties, cryogenic safety, and gas regulations.
- Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and SOPs.
- Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, dispensers, and skid-mounted systems.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.
- Effective communication for coordination with engineers, operators, and stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Experience in LNG fuel systems set up done with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Should be flexible to travel across PAN India and Maharashtra, wherever a new setup of LNG Fuel Station is planned
- Certification in cryogenic safety or gas fitting is an advantage.
- Technical skills in equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in operating LNG systems and an understanding of related safety standards.
- Knowledge and experience in mechanical fittings and tools used in gas-related equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, gas, or energy systems (preferred).
