What you will be doing:

• Enter daily financial data, prepare accounts/financial statements, and document business transactions
• Communicate with Company vendors including entering bills and credit card receipts
• Enforce the Company’s travel policy and process employee expense reimbursements
• Assist in benefits administration for employees of the Company
• Maintain the Company’s accounting and administrative systems, including computer software systems and filing systems
• Work directly with the Company’s auditors and tax accountants to complete filings on a timely basis
• Evaluate accounting control procedures and make improvements as the Company evolves
• Meet with CEO and Board Chair on a regular basis to report financial results and updated forecasting
• Engage with the team on various projects as requested by Chairman, CEO, and others within senior management

The must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commensurate experience, 3.7 GPA minimum
• CPA license required
• Previous professional experience with accounting practices and procedures (public accounting experience preferred)
• Understanding of both US GAAP and cash-based accounting/ reporting
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• High attention to detail as well as excellent organization and communication skills
• Knowledge of financial/accounting software applications (experience with implementation of new accounting/system software is ideal)
