About the role

LiveRamp aspires to make it safe and easy for companies to use data effectively. The Software Engineer, Backend role involves creating and improving real-time applications, managing data exchange, and ensuring the reliability and maintainability of systems in a collaborative team environment. Help create and improve the real time applications, written in Go, that our partners use on their website to exchange user information Help the team manage the exchange of large amounts of data between our applications through data streaming systems like Redpanda Learn and use data streaming to create identity resolution applications and data pipelines that share the data we collect with a reporting system, using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub and other related Cloud Technologies Continuously work to make our systems more reliable and easier to maintain Demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow within the team, showing a proactive approach to acquiring new skills and technologies. We develop mainly in Golang, partly in Java, and also use Terraform, Kubernetes, Redpanda, Gazette, Hadoop and multiple Google cloud technologies (BigTable, BigQuery, Datatransfer jobs , Pub/Sub etc). We will use new technologies and languages if they help us better solve a problem We follow a Scrum methodology We will be working on migrating the data streaming platform at Liveramp to Redpanda We build and own the API applications that publish to it, making us fully aware of the use cases we help solve.
