<div>SUMMARY</div><div>Lititz Christian School is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Computer Science, Digital Literacy, and Technology Support Specialist to serve students in grades K–10 while also providing essential technology support for faculty, staff, and school systems.</div><div>
<br>This individual will cultivate a Christ-centered, student-led learning environment where students develop age-appropriate technology skills, from foundational digital literacy in elementary grades to computational thinking, coding, and real-world problem-solving in middle and high school. Instruction will include a strong emphasis on digital citizenship and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI).</div><div>
<br>In addition to teaching responsibilities, this role will support the school’s day-to-day technology needs, ensuring that systems, devices, and users are equipped to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning.</div><div>
<br>Instruction and support will align with the Pennsylvania Department of Education academic standards and reflect a commitment to innovation, creativity, and a biblical worldview.<br><br>
</div><div>ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</div><div>Instructional Responsibilities (K–10)</div><ul>
<li>Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned technology curriculum for students in grades K–6, building foundational skills in:<ul>
<li>Digital literacy</li>
<li>Keyboarding and basic computing</li>
<li>Online safety and digital citizenship</li>
<li>Introduction to coding and computational thinking</li>
<li>Access and ease of use in Google Suite</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Design and deliver intermediate and advanced instruction for grades 7–10, including:<ul>
<li>Coding and computer science concepts</li>
<li>Digital media and productivity tools</li>
<li>Responsible and ethical use of technology and AI</li>
<li>Real-world problem-solving through technology</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Create a student-centered, inquiry-based learning environment that promotes:<ul>
<li>Curiosity and exploration</li>
<li>Creativity and innovation</li>
<li>Collaboration and critical thinking</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Provide project-based learning opportunities where students design, build, and present solutions to authentic problems.</li>
<li>Differentiate instruction to meet the developmental needs of a wide range of learners across grade levels.</li>
<li>Assess student progress through performance-based tasks, projects, and presentations.</li>
<li>Maintain a classroom culture that fosters respectful digital citizenship and responsible technology use.</li>
</ul><div>Technology Integration & Collaboration</div><ul>
<li>Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology across the curriculum in meaningful and effective ways.</li>
<li>Support teachers in the responsible and effective use of AI tools in instruction.</li>
<li>Provide informal coaching or training to faculty on instructional technology tools and best practices.</li>
<li>Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their educational relevance and application.</li>
</ul><div>Technology Support Responsibilities</div><ul>
<li>Provide first-level IT support for faculty, staff, and students, including troubleshooting:<ul>
<li>Devices (laptops, tablets, classroom tech)</li>
<li>Basic network/connectivity issues</li>
<li>Software and educational platforms</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Assist with device setup, maintenance, and inventory management.</li>
<li>Support the implementation and upkeep of school-wide technology systems and tools.</li>
<li>Serve as a liaison (as needed) with external IT providers or vendors.</li>
<li>Help ensure that technology systems are used in ways that are secure, efficient, and aligned with school policies.</li>
</ul><div>Co-Curricular & Community Engagement</div><ul>
<li>Provide oversight of High School Robotics Club (or similar extracurricular opportunities).</li>
<li>Explore and potentially develop additional electives or enrichment opportunities in technology.</li>
<li>Contribute to a positive school culture by modeling servant leadership and Christ-centered relationships.</li>
</ul><div>QUALIFICATIONS</div><ul>
<li>Demonstrates a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, actively participates in a local church, and supports the mission and values of the school by integrating a biblical worldview into teaching and interactions.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field required.</li>
<li>Willingness to pursue certification from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).</li>
<li>Experience teaching elementary and/or secondary students preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of technology skills across grade levels (K–10).</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of IT support, troubleshooting, and educational technology systems.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of digital literacy, instructional technology, and current trends (including AI in education).</li>
<li>Ability to create engaging, student-led, project-based learning experiences.</li>
<li>Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.</li>
<li>Flexibility and initiative to build and expand curriculum and technology systems.</li>
<li>A passion for Christian education and integrating faith with learning. <br><br>
