Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join the Employment & Litigation team within the Legal function. The role will be responsible for managing employment law matters, litigation support, legal advisory, and related contract management activities while ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle employment law matters including employee disputes, disciplinary actions, workplace policies, and employee-related legal advisory.
• Manage litigation matters involving the organization and coordinate with external legal counsel for case handling and resolution.
• Draft, review, and vet employment-related agreements, legal notices, responses, and other legal documentation.
• Support contract review and related legal documentation activities as required.
• Provide legal guidance on labor laws, employment regulations, compliance matters, and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate closely with HR, business leaders, compliance, and internal stakeholders on employment and litigation-related matters.
• Review and manage legal notices, claims, settlements, and dispute-related communications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, statutory regulations, and internal policies.
• Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Maintain litigation records, legal documentation, trackers, and case updates.
• Liaise with external counsel, authorities, and regulatory bodies whenever required.
• Litigation Strategy/Risk Assessment: Develop litigation strategies, evaluate case strengths/weaknesses, and provide risk assessments to leadership before decisions on settlements or legal actions.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for HR, managers, and employees on employment law, workplace conduct, POSH, disciplinary processes, and compliance obligations.
Key Requirements:
• 8–12 years of experience in employment law, litigation management, and legal advisory functions.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, dispute resolution, and litigation processes.
• Experience in drafting and reviewing employment contracts, legal notices, and related documentation.
• Good understanding of legal compliance and risk management practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage sensitive and confidential matters.
• Prior experience in IT industry.
• B.L. with LL.B Preferred.
