Role Summary
The Lithography Process Engineering Manager is responsible for leading photolithography process engineering in a semiconductor foundry environment to achieve high yield, strong process capability, and stable high‑volume manufacturing.
The role covers process development, optimization, and sustaining across multiple technology nodes and lithography platforms, ensuring robust process windows, defect control, and consistent manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibility
- Lead end‑to‑end lithography process ownership, including scanner and track modules
- Develop, manage and optimize lithography processes across i‑Line, KrF, ArF‑Dry, and ArF‑Immersion domain
- Manage mask and lithography metrology strategy to support CD, overlay, and focus control
- Drive process development, qualification, and continuous improvement
- Improve yield by identifying, analysing, and reducing defect mechanisms
- Ensure process stability and lead rapid resolution of lithography process excursions
- Support technology transfer, production ramp, and high‑volume manufacturing
- Collaborate with Process Integration, Etch, CMP, Yield, and Manufacturing teams
- Support tool qualification, matching, and recipe standardization
- Align lithography process capability with product requirements and technology roadmaps
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
- 10+ years of semiconductor foundry experience in photolithography process engineering
- Strong exposure to high‑volume, dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing and production environments
- Experience across process development, qualification, sustaining, and ramp
- Hands‑on experience with scanner, track, mask, and metrology management
Additional Technical Requirements
- Strong knowledge of:
- Photolithography processes and integration challenges
- CD control, overlay performance, focus, and defect mechanisms
- Experience with SPC, APC, and statistical process analysis
- Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis capability
- Ability to drive yield improvement and defect reduction
- Effective communication and cross‑functional team leadership
