About Us

Dover Environmental provides essential plumbing, drain, and wastewater services to restaurants, commercial kitchens, industrial facilities, and local businesses across Metro Detroit. Our work keeps kitchens running, prevents sewer issues, and supports safe, compliant plumbing systems.

We are hiring a Plumber — someone who can do the work, solve problems, and contribute immediately. Whether you are a licensed journeyman, an experienced service plumber, a drain technician, or a mechanically inclined worker with plumbing skills, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do

Core Responsibilities

  • Clear, troubleshoot, and repair drain and sewer lines
  • Perform hydro jetting, snaking, and camera inspections
  • Install, maintain, and repair pipes, fixtures, and commercial kitchen plumbing
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions
  • Perform repairs such as faucets, toilets, disposals, supply lines, traps, etc.
  • Work professionally with customers and represent Dover in the field

Advanced Responsibilities (If Qualified)

  • Backflow testing & repair (certified or willing to become certified)
  • Larger installations such as water heaters, supply line work, and complex repairs
  • Work requiring a licensed journeyman (if you hold the credential)

You do not need to be licensed to apply — we pay based on what you can do.

What We’re Looking For

We are open to plumbers from multiple backgrounds, including:

Licensed Journeyman Plumbers

  • Michigan Journeyman License
  • Strong service or commercial plumbing experience
  • Ability to run jobs independently

Experienced Plumbers (Non-Licensed)

  • 2+ years hands-on plumbing or drain experience
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
  • Comfortable performing common plumbing repairs

Drain Techs / Apprentice-Level Candidates

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with drains, jetting, sewer, or related work is a plus
  • Willing to learn and develop into a full-service plumber

If you can produce quality work, we have a place for you.

Requirements

  • Plumbing License preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable work history
  • Safe work habits and professionalism
  • Chauffeur’s License required before start (we assist with this)
  • MUST pass company pre-hire process (includes background check, drug screening, and review of MVR, etc.)

Backflow Certification is a major plus — and we can sponsor training.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8–10 hour shifts
  • Overtime available
  • On-call rotation
  • Occasional weekend work

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off + holidays
  • Life insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Referral program
  • Weekly pay
  • Industry-leading tools, trucks, and equipment
  • Clear advancement path and long-term stability
