About the Role
We are looking for a System Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting day-today IT operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing infrastructure best practices across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor system performance, server health, and infrastructure availability.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, server, and network-related issues.
- Manage virtualization platforms and containerized environments as needed.
- Administer Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources and support cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain IT documentation, system configurations, and asset inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in System Administration or IT Infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Linux server administration.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Experience with virtualization and container technologies is preferred.
- Basic scripting experience with Bash (PowerShell is a plus).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes, preferably on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized workloads.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, etc.).
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security best practices.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Relevant certifications such as Google Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE), CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), RHCSA, or CompTIA Linux+.
