About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator or Senior System Administrator to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive hosting and infrastructure support for our Magento eCommerce environments. Your primary focus will be to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of our infrastructure, enabling seamless online shopping experiences for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that demands technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to operational excellence. As part of our team, you will manage a diverse set of technologies, monitor system health, respond to incidents, and implement best practices for infrastructure management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. You should have between 1 to 5 years of experience managing infrastructure for eCommerce platforms, particularly Magento. Strong knowledge of Linux (preferably Debian), NGINX, PHP, Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch is essential. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, Route53, and Auto Scaling is required. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix and AWS CloudWatch is necessary. Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to work under SLA-driven environments, and effective communication skills are also important for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include monitoring infrastructure health using tools like Zabbix and AWS CloudWatch, ensuring system stability and performance. You will respond to incidents around the clock, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions to prevent recurrence. Managing and maintaining Linux-based servers, configuring and optimizing NGINX, PHP, Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch will be part of your daily activities. You will oversee security protocols, including firewall management, access control, and SSL certificate handling to safeguard data and infrastructure integrity. Additionally, you will implement automated backups, verify restore procedures, and conduct disaster recovery tests to ensure data resilience. Scaling infrastructure to meet fluctuating demands, provisioning resources for single-server, multi-server, and auto-scaling environments, and optimizing overall system performance will be vital aspects of your role.
