About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator or Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive 24/7 hosting and infrastructure support for Magento eCommerce environments. Your primary focus will be ensuring high availability, security, optimal performance, and operational stability of our clients' online platforms. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise in Linux-based environments, cloud services, and infrastructure management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure, ensuring seamless eCommerce operations and excellent customer experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. You should have between 1 to 5 years of experience managing infrastructure in eCommerce or similar high-availability environments. Proven expertise in Linux systems, particularly Debian, along with hands-on experience with web servers like NGINX, and knowledge of PHP, Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch is essential. Familiarity with AWS cloud services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, Route53, and Auto Scaling is required. Strong monitoring skills using tools like Zabbix and CloudWatch, along with a solid understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and server optimization, are also necessary. Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to work under SLA-driven conditions, and good communication skills are vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
As a System Administrator / Senior System Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring infrastructure health and performance using Zabbix and AWS CloudWatch to proactively identify issues and ensure optimal operation.
- Providing 24/7 incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) documentation to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
- Managing and maintaining Debian Linux servers, NGINX web servers, PHP environments, Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch, and various AWS services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, Route53, and Auto Scaling.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures, including firewall configuration, access controls, SSL management, and regular security audits.
- Designing, implementing, and testing backup and disaster recovery procedures, including automated backups, verification, and restore testing to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Optimizing infrastructure performance through tuning, scaling, and provisioning for different environments, including single-server, multi-server, and auto-scaling configurations.
- Collaborating with development and support teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements and supports continuous deployment processes.
- Documenting infrastructure configurations, procedures, and incident reports to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
