Job Summary:
Looking for a senior-level Linux engineer with strong Puppet automation expertise to manage and automate enterprise Linux infrastructure. Candidate must be involved in writing and owning Puppet modules, not just deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support RHEL-based Linux systems
- Design and maintain configurations using Puppet (Roles & Profiles)
- Author Puppet modules, manifests, templates (ERB/EPP), and custom facts
- Manage configuration data using Hiera
- Handle OS upgrades (RHEL 7→8, 8→9), patching, and security hardening
- Troubleshoot Linux, Puppet agent, SSL, and Hiera issues
- Work with VMware environments and enterprise infrastructure
