Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager for Cognitive Systems, you will design, develop, test, and deliver offerings using the latest technologies, while aligning employees' work with IBM's strategy and goals. You will lead or participate in organization planning, providing leadership and support to ensure business objectives are met. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead Offering Development: Design, develop, test, and deliver Cognitive Systems offerings using the latest technologies, ensuring alignment with IBM's strategy and goals.
- Manage Employee Resources: Assign individuals and collaborate with other leaders to allocate employee resources, meeting IBM, project/account, and individual development needs.
- Drive Business Results: Accept accountability for business results, including client satisfaction, productivity, financial, and other business measurements.
- Foster Teamwork and Inclusion: Promote IBM's diversity and inclusive leadership and IBM Values, supporting activities and projects involving cross-functional teams.
- Develop Employee Skills: Advise and coach employees to help them develop their skills and capabilities, enhancing IBM's climate and business results.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Technology Leadership Experience: Experience with designing, developing, testing, and delivering offerings using the latest technologies, with a focus on Cognitive Systems.
- Resource Management Expertise: Experience in assigning and allocating employee resources to meet business objectives, including project/account and individual development needs.
- Business Results Accountability: Experience with accepting accountability for business results, including client satisfaction, productivity, financial, and other business measurements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience with leading or participating in organization planning, providing leadership and support to ensure business objectives are met, and promoting IBM's diversity and inclusive leadership and IBM Values.
- Employee Development Coaching: Experience in advising and coaching employees to help them develop their skills and capabilities, enhancing business results and climate.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Technology Innovation Expertise: Experience with emerging technologies related to Cognitive Systems, including design, development, and testing of new offerings. Ability to leverage expertise to drive business results and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Advanced Resource Allocation: Experience in optimizing employee resource allocation to meet complex business objectives, including managing multiple projects and accounts simultaneously.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with other leaders to drive business outcomes, promote diversity and inclusion, and enhance IBM's climate and business results.
