Role : Linux Developer
Experience : 6 to 8 years
Location : Chennai ,Kolkata
Key skill :
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages suitable for systems development (C/C++, Go, Python)• Strong shell scripting skills (Bash, KSH)• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef)• Deep understanding of Linux OS internals, system calls, memory, processes, file systems, and networking• Experience with virtualized environments (e.g., VMware) and private cloud concepts • Familiarity with Git and standard branching/versioning workflows .
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Responsibility :
- Develop robust, scalable, and efficient applications or tools tailored for Linux environments
- Design and implement custom solutions to integrate Linux-based systems and services
- Configure, optimize, and manage Linux OS for performance, reliability, and security
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production issue resolution
- Write and optimize automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, configuration, and system management
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Ensure adherence to Citi standards, security policies, and documentation best practices
Support implementation activities and provide post‑deployment support
