Role Description This full-time, on-site Linux C Kernel Engineer role is based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The engineer will design, develop, and optimize Linux kernel modules and low-level system components, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability. Daily responsibilities include debugging kernel issues, analyzing system logs, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing fixes and enhancements. The role also involves collaborating with infrastructure and system administration teams to ensure seamless integration, security, and scalability of Linux-based environments, as well as documenting technical solutions and contributing to internal best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Linux Kernel development and Linux System Administration, including configuration, tuning, and debugging.
- Proficiency in System Administration and Infrastructure management to support robust, scalable, and secure environments.
- Advanced Troubleshooting abilities for diagnosing complex kernel, performance, and system-level issues.
- Solid programming expertise in C for kernel and systems-level development, with familiarity in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) as a plus.
- Experience with tools such as gdb, perf, strace, and system monitoring utilities for performance optimization and debugging.
- Understanding of operating system concepts, networking fundamentals, and security best practices in Linux environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document technical designs and procedures.
