Role Description The Linux Administrator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers and related system components to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The Linux Administrator monitors system health, manages user access and security settings, performs regular backups, and applies patches and updates in line with organizational standards. Day-to-day work includes diagnosing and resolving system issues, providing technical support to internal teams, documenting configurations and procedures, and collaborating with other IT staff to improve infrastructure stability and scalability.
Qualifications
- Strong Linux System Administration and general System Administration skills to manage and optimize server environments.
- Proficient Troubleshooting and Technical Support abilities to identify, analyze, and resolve system and application issues.
- Experience with Patch Management, including planning, testing, and deploying security and system updates.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and monitoring tools relevant to Linux-based infrastructures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python), virtualization or cloud platforms, and backup/restore solutions is an advantage.
