Role Description
We are seeking a Linux Administrator for a full-time, on-site role located in Kolkata. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux systems, ensuring systems are secure and running efficiently. Tasks include resolving technical issues, performing system updates and patch management, and delivering proactive technical support. The role also involves troubleshooting system errors, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Linux System Administration and broader System Administration tasks
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and delivering Technical Support
- Experience in managing system updates, upgrades, and Patch Management
- Solid understanding of system performance optimization and security best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE) are an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a professional Linux or IT system administration role is highly desirable
