We are currently looking for a
Senior Product Designer - Growth (all genders) based in Berlin (hybrid).
Your mission with us:
As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing engaging and successful student experiences in our B2C Growth Pod. This role will report to the Head of Design & User Research and is pivotal for Lingoda as we scale our people, business and products.
Initiatives include improving our trial experience (conversion to order), helping our students start their language learning journey, launching new subscription options, adding new languages to our offering and much more as we develop new growth opportunities.
You will work in our cross-functional Growth Pod, partnering with the Product Manager, engineers, and QA and be supported by our user research and product analytics teams.
Your tasks:
Design & Optimise: Craft and iterate on high-quality product experiences that enhance user acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention
Own & Initiate: Proactively identify growth opportunities, generate design hypotheses, and lead the creation of A/B test ideas. Take ownership of your work from concept to launch, driving measurable outcomes with minimal oversight
Understand the "Why": Apply behavioural insights and principles of buying psychology to reduce friction and drive user action
Embrace Ambiguity: Explore open-ended growth challenges, applying design thinking and experimentation to drive impact
Data-Informed Design: Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to shape product and design decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Data, UX Research teams to align on strategy and execution
Vision & Execution: Co-create the product strategy and roadmap with the Product Manager, ensuring that a growth mentality is embedded in our design decisions
Advocate for Users: Balance user needs and business impact, translating insights into scalable, impactful experiences
Drive Alignment: Facilitate collaboration across teams, articulating design rationale and bringing stakeholders on board with your vision
You bring to Lingoda:
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2C and Growth-focused teams
- Experience with industry-standard product design tools such as Figma, Miro, Hotjar, User Testing, among others
- Experience gathering qualitative and quantitative user data to identify opportunities and inform design decisions
- Strong communication skills to effectively present your work and bring key stakeholders on board. You are confident in your ideas but open to learning from others
- The ability to conceptualise, work in low and high fidelity, deliver solid visual design & communicate your work and rationale
- Systems thinking and the ability to apply a design system and contribute to it by extrapolating patterns and behaviours from a specific instance to the larger experience and vice versa
- An experimental and proactive mindset
- Solid understanding of behavioural psychology, user motivation, and persuasive design principles
- A strong portfolio showcasing conversion-focused design work with measurable impact. We're particularly interested in examples such as sales funnel optimisation, onboarding journeys, subscription and pricing flows, and trial experience improvements
Nice to have:
- Past experience in EdTech
- Past experience in subscription-based products
