About Indiemaya Studios
Indiemaya Studios a part of Javix Media Group is a forward-thinking production house creating authentic Indian stories designed to resonate with audiences around the world. From feature films to talent-driven IP shows, web series, documentaries and micro-dramas, we blend creativity with culture — crafting stories that evoke real emotion, celebrate authenticity, and deliver cinematic excellence for a new generation of viewers. We are a young, fast-moving studio, and we are now building our micro-drama vertical: short, bingeable, vertical (9:16) series made for OTT and mobile-first audiences. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape how we produce at scale.
The Role
We are looking for a hungry, highly organised Line Producer – Associate for micro-drama productions. You will turn the founders’ creative and strategic direction into shot, delivered episodes — owning the schedule, the budget on the ground, the crew, the vendors and the deliverables. Our format is high-volume by design: a single series can be dozens of two-minute episodes shot across a tight multi-day schedule, so we need someone who thrives on tight timelines, batched set-ups, and relentless coordination.
You will work closely on the founders’ guidance — we set the vision, the creative and the strategy; you make it happen on the floor. This is an execution-leadership role with real ownership and a clear path to grow into a full Line Producer / Production Head as the studio scales.
What You’ll Do
Pre-Production & Planning
• Scheduling — build and maintain the shoot schedule; group scenes/episodes by location and set to maximise pages-per-day in our high-volume format.
• Budgeting on the ground — prepare and track line-item production budgets; control day-to-day spend; flag overruns early.
• Locations & permissions — scout, negotiate and lock locations across Kerala (and Bangalore); secure permits, NOCs and insurance.
• Crew & vendors — source, negotiate and book freelance crew (DOP, editor, sound, art, HMU) and equipment/vendor rentals; maintain a reliable vendor network.
• Cast & talent logistics — coordinate auditions, call sheets, contracts, travel and stay for cast and outstation crew.
Production / On Set
• Run the floor — own day-to-day set operations so shoot days stay on schedule and on budget; keep the unit moving.
• Call sheets & continuity of logistics — issue daily call sheets, track wrap times, manage the move between locations.
• Problem-solving — be the first responder for the inevitable on-set surprises — weather, vendor no-shows, equipment, timing — and keep solutions moving without escalating everything.
• Catering, transport, welfare — ensure refreshments, transport and crew welfare are handled so the unit performs.
Post & Delivery
• Deliverable tracking — keep the edit-to-delivery pipeline moving; chase cuts, sound, colour and final masters against deadlines.
• Distribution support — coordinate final assets, formats, titles, thumbnails and metadata with the founders and the platform/OTT for on-time launch.
• Documentation — maintain clean records — budgets vs. actuals, contracts, payments, a production report per project.
Who We are
Must Haves
• 2–5 years’ experience in film, TV, web-series, ad-film or OTT production — as a production manager, assistant/associate line producer, senior production coordinator, or strong AD ready to step up.
• Proven on-set coordination — you have run schedules, call sheets and budgets on real shoots.
• Budget-literate — comfortable building and tracking a line-item budget and controlling spend on the floor.
• High agency & sound judgment — you take rough direction and run with it, know what to decide yourself and what to escalate, and communicate proactively (the founders will often guide remotely).
• Calm under pressure — tight timelines and last-minute changes energise you rather than rattle you.
• Fluent in Malayalam and English — essential for crew, talent and location coordination in Kerala.
• Kerala-based / from Kerala (preferred) — with strong local crew, vendor and location knowledge; willing to travel to Bangalore for shoots.
• Willing to travel and work irregular hours during shoot windows.
Nice to Haves
• Experience with micro-drama, short-form or vertical (9:16) content.
• An existing network of Kerala freelance crew, cast and equipment/location vendors.
• Familiarity with budgeting/scheduling tools and shared trackers.
• Exposure to OTT delivery specs and digital distribution workflows.
• Two-wheeler / valid driving licence.
Why Join Us
• Ground-floor ownership — be the founding production hire of our micro-drama vertical and shape how we make content at scale.
• Direct founder mentorship — work hand-in-hand with founders who bring two decades of media/marketing and deep Malayalam-film roots.
• Real growth path — a clear route to grow into full Line Producer / Production Head as the slate expands.
• Volume and variety — you’ll ship a high volume of content fast, building a portfolio and reputation quickly.
