Role Description The Line Mein role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The role involves routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground power distribution lines, ensuring safe and uninterrupted electricity supply. Daily tasks may include identifying faults, assisting in restoring power during outages, supporting line installation and upgrades, and following safety procedures and guidelines at all times. The person in this role will work closely with supervisors and technical teams, operate tools and equipment as per standards, and maintain accurate records of field activities. The role requires adherence to company safety policies, responsive support during emergencies, and cooperative teamwork in outdoor and physically demanding conditions.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of basic electrical concepts, power distribution systems, and safe working practices around live lines.
- Ability to use hand tools and line maintenance equipment, with practical skills in installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical lines.
- Commitment to safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment and compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and in field environments for extended periods.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions, coordinate with colleagues, and report issues clearly.
- Basic literacy and numeracy; vocational training or certification in electrical or power distribution trades is an advantage.
- Prior experience in utility field work, line maintenance, or related electrical roles is preferred but not mandatory.
