Role Description The Line Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Thoothukudi. The role involves overseeing production lines, ensuring machinery and equipment run efficiently, and monitoring daily operations for safety, quality, and output targets. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating with maintenance and production teams, and providing technical support to minimize downtime. The Line Engineer will analyze performance data, implement process improvements, support installation and commissioning activities, and document operational procedures. The role also requires clear communication with cross-functional teams and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of transmission lines and related line engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in providing technical support and resolving issues on production or machinery lines.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation problems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with operations, maintenance, and management teams.
- Basic understanding of industrial networking or control systems used in manufacturing environments.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive components, or heavy machinery environments is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Thoothukudi, follow safety protocols, and adapt to shift-based operations if required.
