About the role

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Summary:

The Material Handler supports production by moving materials using a forklift and other equipment as needed. This role ensures the accurate flow of inventory and maintains cleanliness in work areas.

Responsibilities:

Replenishes stock, components, and cleans dunnage in work cells.

Accurately scans materials or enters data into software for inventory management.

Inspects finished skids for missing parts, ensures tag accuracy, initials tags, bands skid, completes stock transfer forms, and places items in the warehouse.

Maintains cleanliness in work cells, warehouse, outside breezeway, and dunnage storage areas.

Loads and unloads trucks, sorts materials, packs parts, and organizes the warehouse and surrounding areas.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the MP&L Manager.

Academic/Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Skills/Experience:

At least five years of experience operating forklift trucks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Capability to train other employees as needed.

Adherence to all safety rules and regulations, including completing forklift inspection sheets.

Basic computer skills.
