Job Summary
We are looking for a LIMS Consultant with 2–5 years of experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) implementation, configuration, validation, and support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or life sciences organizations and possess strong knowledge of laboratory workflows, data management, and system administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, customize, and support LIMS applications based on business and laboratory requirements.
- Gather and analyze user requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Participate in LIMS implementation, upgrades, migrations, and enhancement projects.
- Support system validation activities including IQ, OQ, PQ, and documentation.
- Create and maintain configuration documents, SOPs, test scripts, and user manuals.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution to end users.
- Collaborate with QA, QC, IT, and laboratory teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+, and data integrity requirements.
- Provide user training and post-implementation support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience working with LIMS platforms in a regulated environment.
- Hands-on experience in LIMS configuration, administration, or support.
- Understanding of laboratory workflows, sample management, testing, and reporting processes.
- Knowledge of CSV (Computer System Validation) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with platforms such as LabWare LIMS, LabVantage, STARLIMS, or similar LIMS solutions.
- Exposure to integration with ERP, ELN, CDS, or other laboratory systems.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or healthcare domains.
- Familiarity with SQL, data migration, and reporting tools is an added advantage.
