The Enterprise Data Platforms organization ( formerly EIP) delivers technology foundations, standards, processes and governance required to support an enterprise approach to information management spanning multiple business entities, disciplines and platforms. Senior Manager This position is for an Enterprise Data Platforms. In this role, reporting to Associate Director you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the management and optimization of enterprise information systems and platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data, analytics, cloud and business stakeholders, to ensure the effective development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems and platforms that support the organization's goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities Provide deep leadership and coaching in the project delivery lifecycle. Focus on shared learning, continuous improvement, and drive adoption of best practices. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, teamwork and people development. Provide mentorship to accelerate the development of solution architecture and technical expertise, specific to the Lilly Tech@Lilly environment. Knowledge of architectural options and the ability to select based on needs and budget. Understand the business processes being supported by the team. Coach and develop team members through performance management, development planning, promotion, and career plans; represent those team members in talent discussions. Good understanding on the Informatica, data Integrations, powercenter licensing models is mandatory. Resourcing - continue the team growth through selection techniques, testing and interviews. Organize your work within an Agile team & Knowledge on Sprint ceremonies (Planning, Estimation, Execution, Reporting & highlight Risks & Impediments). Lead and manage a team of information systems and platform professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing. Set clear team goals and objectives, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations. Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise information systems, ensuring they align with business requirements and industry best practices. Collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop a strategic roadmap for enterprise information and platform management, aligning it with organizational goals. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in enterprise information systems and platforms, recommending innovative solutions and approaches. Note: All information management roles should have a foundational set of knowledge in: communication, leadership, teamwork, problem solving skills, solution / blueprint definition, business acumen, architectural processes (e.g. blueprinting, reference architecture, governance, etc.), technical standards, project delivery, and industry knowledge. People Management and Development Recruit, develops, and retains a strategic and operationally capable workforce skilled and knowledgeable in required technologies and data governance Effectively create and manage an agile organization that continuously meets the needs of a changing portfolio. Build an organizational culture aligned with Team Lilly – inclusion, innovation, acceleration, delivery, integrity, excellence, and respect for people. Develop staff who demonstrate expertise, strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional leadership. Provide input on employee development, talent assessment, and succession planning activities. Develop an organizational talent base that demonstrates judgment-based decision making. Provide guidance, training, and supervision to personnel. Appropriately manage the workload of direct reports; monitor project timelines and quality, and communicate priorities to direct reports. Provide technical support and guidance to direct reports as needed. Evaluate performance by reviewing documents and attending writing team meetings, and recommend developmental actions for all assigned staff. Ensure all direct reports are compliant with company policies, procedures and regulations.
