Job OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and reliable Lightman / Gaffer to manage lighting setups for photography and video shoots. The candidate will work closely with the photographer, DOP, and creative team to ensure proper lighting execution for high-quality visual output.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and manage lighting equipment for shoots (indoor & outdoor)
- Understand lighting requirements based on shoot style (fashion, events, commercial, etc.)
- Assist the photographer/DOP in achieving desired lighting effects
- Handle equipment such as lights, stands, modifiers, reflectors, diffusers, etc.
- Ensure proper power management and safe wiring on set
- Adjust lighting during shoots based on scene requirements
- Maintain and organize lighting gear before and after shoots
- Troubleshoot basic lighting issues on location
- Support team in quick setup and breakdown during tight schedules
Requirements- Basic to advanced knowledge of lighting techniques
- Experience in photography/video shoots (preferred)
- Familiarity with studio lights, continuous lights, flash systems
- Physically fit to handle equipment setup and movement
- Ability to work long hours during shoots/events
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible to travel for outdoor shoots
Preferred Skills- Understanding of cinematic lighting
- Experience with brands like Godox, Aputure, Nanlite, etc.
- Knowledge of color temperature and light modifiers
- Quick problem-solving ability on set
Work TypeLocation- Bangalore (Travel required for shoots across India if needed)
