Role Description
We are looking for Lighting Designers to join our Mumbai studio and become part of our growing ambitious team creating thoughtful and engaging lighting experiences across hospitality, retail, commercial and public environments. This role is for someone who enjoys both ideas and execution someone who can move between concept storytelling and technical detailing with equal curiosity.
You will contribute across the design process: developing concept presentations, producing lighting layouts and details, preparing specifications, and helping transform early narratives into built environments. We value designers who think creatively, communicate clearly, and care about how people experience space.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Interior Design or relevant degree.
- Experience working as Lighting Designer on architectural projects, with minimum 1-2 years working experience in relevant industry.
- Highly competent in AutoCAD and PhotoShop with excellent technical skills
- Working knowledge of DIALux is essential
- Capable of managing multiple projects at any one time.
- Ability to communicate design ideas effectively, responsible, highly organised, flexible and a supportive team player.
- Good spoken and written English.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all phases of project lighting design from the original conception, to final aiming and lighting controls programming
- Provide lighting design solutions appropriate to client brief, budget and relevant standards
- Participate in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary design teams
- Prepare presentations to clients
- Develop technical lighting proposals including calculations, product research, fixture evaluation, mock-up coordination, and performance validation.
- Produce and document the lighting design via CAD layouts, lighting details, light fixture schedules, lighting control specifications
- Attend progress meetings of at project site and issue field reports to design team
