This role requires a degree in interior design, product design, furniture design, or architecture (B.Des / B.Arch / M.Des). Applications from engineering, IT, graphic design, or unrelated backgrounds will not be considered.
Kherati Lall & Sons has been making handmade cut-glass chandeliers, brass lighting, mirrors, and decorative furniture for four decades. Our clients include UHNI collectors and some of the most senior interior designers in the country.
Role & responsibilities
- Design new lighting fixtures, mirrors, and furniture pieces from concept sketches through to production-ready specifications
- Refine existing products across five style categories: Colonial, European Classical, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Contemporary
- Create technical and product drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD software
- Participate in design consultations with UHNI clients and senior interior designers
- Propose customisation options on existing products finishes, proportions, glass treatments, configurations
- Prepare mood boards, material palettes, and visual presentations for client projects
Preferred candidate profile
- Degree in interior design, product design, furniture design, or architecture from NID, NIFT, SPA Delhi, CEPT, Srishti, or an international programme (Politecnico di Milano, Parsons, CSM, RISD, or equivalent). Architecture graduates with an interiors or product design focus are welcome
- 0-3 years of experience. Exceptional fresh graduates from top programmes will be considered
- Genuine interest in luxury, interiors, and craft through personal interests, travel, or prior work
- Fluent, polished communication skills in English
- Comfortable with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp) and visual presentation software (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Must have own laptop capable of running design software
This is a hands-on role with creative ownership, direct mentorship from business leadership, and exposure to marquee projects from day one.
Monday to Friday.
Office-based at 80 Janpath, New Delhi and Sector 83, Noida.
