- Job Summary: As a Quality Assurance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications and systems, with a focus on our life insurance products and platforms. You will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a high standard of quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and grow in the QA field.
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- Conduct end-to-end SIT for Life Asia systems, ensuring proper integration in Life Asia modules.
- Validate the integration of core insurance features (New Business, underwriting, claims, Policy Servicing, etc.).
- Perform data mapping, interface validation, and ensure data flow correctness across systems.
- Test Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Identify integration points and develop test scenarios for each of these integration touchpoints.
- Execute test cases, log defects, and track them through resolution.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with Developers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Liaise with developers to identify and resolve integration issues, providing feedback on issues and suggesting improvements.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Document test results, issues found, and provide detailed test reports and defect reports.
- Update test cases as needed based on changes to the business requirements and design specifications.
- Ensure all test deliverables are completed on time and according to the project's needs.
- Defect Management:
- Log, track, and prioritize defects in the defect management tool (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Test Environment Setup & Configuration:
- Assist in setting up the test environments and ensuring they are configured correctly to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Regression Testing:
- Perform regression testing to ensure new features and fixes dont negatively impact existing functionalities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SIT testing for Life Asia or similar insurance software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Life Asia application modules (New Business, underwriting, claims, Policy Servicing, etc.).
- Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and defect management.
- Experience working with test/defect management system such as JIRA, or similar.
- Familiarity with data integration and transformation tools for testing purposes.
- Ability to understand and test business processes related to insurance, particularly life insurance products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver quality results on time.
Desired Skills:
- ISTQB or other testing certifications.
- Previous experience working in agile teams.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
