Sales Assistant

Lidl in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Sales Assistant to join their team on a full/part-time basis. Compensation Data: Basic salary: starting from €7,81 per hour Summary: Our Sales Assistants are the face of our business! They provide great service to our loyal customers and invest the same care and attention into the little tasks as they do with the larger ones. We are currently looking for new employees in every shop on the island, offering different types of contracts to suits your needs (part time and full time). What you'll do: Our Sales Assistants are involved in a dynamic and young work environment, within a well-structured and organised Company. Working hours will be scheduled on a shift basis in advance (both part time and full time) and you will receive a training plan that enables you to deal with your duties in an efficient way. You will not only be working on the cash, but you will also get involved in every part of the store's operations, including stocking, cleaning, bakery operations, non-food merchandising, and everything needed to make sure our clients' shopping experience is fast and comfortable. The main duties will be: Team cooperation for an excellent management of the store, assisting the Store Management with all areas of store operation Provide excellent customer service, not only on the cash registers but throughout the store by helping customers with their questions and locating items for them Ensure to offer the freshest of produce Unpack daily stock deliveries Help with stocking as well as preparing promotional items and special offers Cash management Ensure that the entire store is clean and organized, from the parking lot to the sales floor to the welfare room and warehouse. What you'll need: Must be at least 18 years old The flexibility to work different shifts including night shifts, weekends and public holidays Professional and respectful attitude with customers and colleagues A friendly communication style with your team The drive to work hard in a fast-paced environment Fluent knowledge of the English language is a must Knowledge of the Maltese and Italian language will be considered an asset Previous experience in the retail sector will be considered an asset.
