Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jalandhar for a Library Assistant. The Library Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the library, including managing library services, supporting circulation tasks, organizing library resources, and assisting patrons with inquiries. The role also involves maintaining a welcoming library environment and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Library Services and understanding of Library Science practices
- Experience with Circulation and resource organization within a library environment
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to assist and support library users
- Attention to detail and basic computer literacy for cataloging and inventory management
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in an academic library setting is an advantage
