SFS School, Narengi (Guwahati) is looking for a dedicated and dynamic School Librarian who can create an engaging reading culture and support students in developing curiosity, independent learning, and a lifelong love for books.
Required Qualifications
- BLISc / MLISc (Required)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (preferably in a school setting)
- Proficiency in digital tools and library management systems
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organise the school library, including cataloguing, classification, and maintenance of books and digital resources.
- Assist students and teachers in locating resources to support academic and research needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, issue/return systems, and acquisitions.
- Develop and update library resources aligned with curriculum and student needs.
- Ensure a disciplined, welcoming, and student-friendly library environment.
- Integrate digital resources and modern library practices to enhance learning.
- Conduct orientation sessions for students on effective library usage.
- Collaborate with teachers for projects, assignments, and interdisciplinary activities.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programmes.

Salary
CTC: Up to ₹26,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)
