Role Description
RGPV is seeking a motivated and skilled Librarian for a full-time, on-site position at its campus in Mhow. The Librarian will manage the daily operations of the library, organize and maintain collections, oversee metadata management, and provide instructional services related to library resources. The role includes assisting students, faculty, and staff with accessing, navigating, and utilizing library resources, as well as implementing library policies and ensuring proper management of library services. Additionally, the Librarian will support the enhancement of the library’s digital and physical resources, ensuring efficient and user-friendly access to information.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Library Services and Library Science
- Proficiency in Library Management, including cataloging and database organization
- Understanding of Metadata standards and practices
- Experience in Library Instruction and facilitating access to resources for diverse library users
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Master’s degree in Library Science or an equivalent field
- Familiarity with library systems, technologies, and digital tools is a plus
