We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Librarian to join a prestigious CBSE-affiliated school in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in managing a modern school library, promoting reading habits among students, and efficiently handling digital library resources and library management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
- Organize, classify, and maintain books, journals, periodicals, and digital resources.
- Ensure proper cataloguing and inventory management of library resources.
- Operate and manage digital library systems and library management software.
- Guide students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources effectively.
- Promote reading habits through book fairs, reading programs, and literary activities.
- Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum-based learning resources.
- Maintain library records, issue/return systems, and periodic stock verification.
- Recommend and procure new books and educational resources.
- Ensure a quiet, organized, and student-friendly library environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Library Science (B.Lib./M.Lib.) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a School Library in a reputed CBSE/ICSE/International School.
- Hands-on experience in handling Digital Library Systems.
- Proficiency in the latest Library Management Software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tech-savvy with good knowledge of digital learning resources.
