We are creating a high-speed execution layer for the EV transition, solving real supply chain gaps across recycling, refining, and materials.
Job Description
You will operate from the Founder’s Office and lead end-to-end procurement operations for black mass and Li-ion battery scrap across India. The role involves managing strategic procurement activities, overseeing supplier evaluation and selection, optimizing supply chain and materials management processes, and driving effective commercial negotiations and contracts. You will work closely with the leadership team to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships that are critical to BlackMass Energies’ mission of strengthening India’s sustainable battery materials ecosystem.
You are expected to think and execute like a founder, build supply from scratch, close deals on ground, and scale sourcing operations in a high-growth, zero-structure environment.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end procurement of black mass and Li-ion battery scrap
- Build and manage supplier network across India (OEMs, recyclers, aggregators)
- Lead strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and negotiations
- Drive materials management and supply chain optimization
- Execute commercial closures, contracts, and pricing strategies
- Ensure continuous feedstock availability for operations
- Work closely with founders on market expansion and procurement strategy
- Handle on-ground execution including travel, site visits, and deal closures
Requirements
- 0–2 years experience (Freshers can apply)
- Must have exposure to EV / battery / recycling industry
- Strong understanding of Li-ion batteries, black mass, and scrap ecosystem
- High ownership mindset, but a builder and executor
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with both operational teams and leadership
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to understand pricing, margins, supply-demand dynamics, and procurement economics
