About the role Provides Manufacturing Engineering support with a focus on optimizing manufacturing systems and improving data quality, visibility, and decision-making. Uses analysis of manufacturing, test, and configuration data to identify gaps, drive corrective actions, and deliver measurable improvements in throughput, yield, labor efficiency, and cost. Responsibilities Manufacturing Systems, Data & Process Optimization Analyze and reconcile manufacturing, test, and configuration data to ensure reporting accurately reflects shop-floor execution; translate data into actionable insights driving throughput, labor efficiency, yield improvement, and cost reduction. Support and optimize manufacturing and end-of-line test systems; analyze test data to identify yield loss, variation, and systemic issues; implement corrective actions. Review and optimize ATO/CPQ model structures, option hierarchies, and workbooks to reduce complexity and maintenance effort; ensure alignment between configuration logic, BOMs, routings, test requirements, and manufacturing processes. Support ATO/CPQ deployment, scale-up, and stabilization across manufacturing locations; reduce configuration-driven errors, rework, and downstream ECNs. Partner with IT on automation and repeatable workflows to reduce manual effort and errors and improve system usability for high-mix, make-to-order manufacturing. Analyze ECN drivers, volume, cycle time, aging, and implementation impacts; support initiatives to reduce ECN volume through manufacturing standardization, DFM feedback, improved configuration logic, and release discipline. Support automation of ECN workflows (data extraction, completeness checks, standardized routing) while ensuring compliance and traceability. Support PDI activities including pilot builds, process validation, and production readiness; establish routings, labor standards, test methods, and documentation for new products and transitions to production. Provide sustaining Manufacturing Engineering support including troubleshooting, rework, cost reduction, and continuous improvement; provide engineering assistance to production/manufacturing teams to solve process-related problems. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Technical Skills Ability to coordinate and facilitate cross-functional discussions regarding manufacturing systems execution (ERP, routings, labor standards, test requirements, ECNs) and the introduction of products to meet customer requirements. Ability to perform time studies and workflow analysis to establish and sustain accurate labor standards and capacity assumptions. Experience using quality and analysis tools and structured data validation methods to identify variation, root causes, and systemic issues. Advanced ability to use Excel for data analysis, dashboards/KPIs, and cost analysis; experience building repeatable reporting and partnering on workflow automation is preferred. Behavioral Skills Analytic Skills - Analyze data to make informed decisions Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, along with internal and external customers and key stakeholders Proactivity - Taking initiative to address potential issues or concerns before they escalate to ensure smooth operations Education & Experience Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Industrial/ Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required Minimum of 2 years’ related experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering Demonstrated experience using manufacturing data to drive operational improvement, advanced proficiency in Excel and manufacturing analysis tools. Pre-terminated Fiber Optic/Copper cable assembly manufacturing experience is preferred.
