About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead process optimization and automation efforts within our GIS team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient workflows for large-scale geospatial data collection processes, including geocoding, transit data management, and Points of Interest (POI) collection. The TPM will work closely with the Head of GIS and cross functional teams to streamline current processes, enhance automation, and drive operational excellence.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY
> Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize geospatial data collection workflows across multiple products.
> Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in existing processes and implement automation solutions to improve data ingestion and management.
> Collaborate with GIS engineers, data analysts, and product managers to define and enforce best practices in data collection and quality assurance.
> Work closely with the Head of GIS to establish process improvements, scalability strategies, and cost effective solutions for handling large geospatial datasets.
> Drive the automation of manual workflows, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data processing pipelines. Evaluate and integrate third-party tools, APIs, and data sources to enhance data collection efficiency.
> Build and mentor a team of GIS specialists, automation engineers, and data experts to support process automation initiatives.
> Define and track KPIs related to workflow efficiency, data accuracy, and automation success.
> Ensure that all geospatial data workflows comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
> Maintain documentation on workflow improvements, automation processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing across the team.
> Stay up to date with emerging trends in GIS, big data, and automation technologies, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge solutions.
