Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Lekhak Kannada Freelancer based in New Delhi, with some flexibility to work from home. The role involves translating content to and from Kannada with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and cultural context. Responsibilities include proofreading and refining translated text, conducting contextual research for accuracy, and collaborating with the team to ensure project goals are met. The role also requires using Lekhak.app's AI translation platform effectively to improve the quality and efficiency of translation outputs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Kannada and at least one other Indian language (such as Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu)
- Strong translation, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to conduct thorough contextual and linguistic research to ensure translation accuracy
- Familiarity with AI translation tools or willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Literature, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in freelancing or translation projects is advantageous
