Job Description:
We are a leading Real Estate company based in South Delhi, looking for an experienced Legal Manager to handle all legal, regulatory, litigation, and compliance matters related to our real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents including sale agreements, lease deeds, MOUs, JV/collaboration agreements, and title documents
- Ensure compliance with RERA, land laws, and other real estate regulatory requirements
- Conduct due diligence on land/property titles before acquisition
- Handle litigation matters — represent/coordinate on court cases, consumer disputes, RERA complaints, and arbitration proceedings
- Liaise with government authorities for approvals, NOCs, and statutory clearances (DDA, MCD, etc.)
- Advise management on legal risks related to projects, contracts, and transactions
- Manage documentation for property registration, mutation, and conveyance deeds
- Handle tenant/buyer disputes and legal notices
- Keep track of changes in real estate laws and ensure company-wide compliance
Requirements:
- LLB (Mandatory); LLM preferred
- 8–12 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in real estate/construction industry
- Strong experience in litigation — handling court matters, RERA complaints, and consumer disputes
- Strong knowledge of RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Land Acquisition laws, and property registration process
- Experience in drafting contracts and liaising with authorities
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
