Role Description The Legal Manager – Real Estate & Land is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for managing legal aspects of land acquisition, project development, and real estate transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, contracts, and other legal documents. The Legal Manager will oversee compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and local land policies, and coordinate with external legal advisors, government authorities, and internal stakeholders to resolve legal issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal due diligence on land and property titles, advising on risk mitigation, supporting transaction structuring, and maintaining accurate legal records and documentation. The role also involves contributing to legal strategy for projects, supporting dispute resolution, and providing clear, timely legal guidance to leadership and operational teams.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law with experience in real estate, land, and property-related legal matters.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and land-related documents.
- Experience in Legal Consulting, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Demonstrated capability in Legal Compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable statutes, regulations, local land laws, and corporate policies.
- Proven experience managing Legal Affairs related to real estate projects, land acquisition, and dispute resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); a Master’s degree or specialization in real estate law or property law is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously.
- Experience working with government authorities, registries, and regulatory bodies in the Pune region or broader Maharashtra is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
