As an integral part of the legal team, you will serve as the primary point of contact between Vertafore India and Vertafore’s Legal Department in the United States for all legal matters impacting India operations. The Legal Liaison will support Vertafore’s attorneys in connection with management of disputes, international matters for corporate governance, compliance initiatives, contracts, and other matters that may arise from time to time. The Legal Liaison will report to the company’s General Counsel (or designee) and be responsible for coordinating projects and helping the business identify and implement practical solutions to achieve its goals. The Legal Liaison will be highly organized, solution driven, customer service-oriented, pragmatic and proactive in their business style. The ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously, as well as the possession of strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with the legal and other teams to coordinate review, revision and processing of agreements and regarding contract workflow;
- Manage and ensure transmission of contracts to Vertafore’s contract management system;
- Serve as a point of contact for Vertafore’s outside counsel in India, to facilitate communication with Vertafore’s U.S. attorneys, especially with regard to the time zone difference.
- Continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal contract support within the company while maintaining the quality and consistency of contracts across the organization, following all applicable best practices, processes and procedures;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 year of relevant law firm and/or in-house legal, compliance, or contract management experience;
- Experience coordinating legal matters, including those related to employment, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and contracts;
- Experience coordinating the review, signing, and management of commercial agreements;
- Possess a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment;
- Experience and comfort working with outside legal counsel;
- Extremely detail oriented;
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple, competing workloads with changing priorities to meet necessary deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Additional Requirements And Details
- Travel required up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as needed basis
- Located and working from an office location (when required)
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
- Frequent sitting and/or standing.
