Role Description The Legal Intern will work full time in a hybrid arrangement, primarily based in Hyderabad with some flexibility for work from home as assigned by supervising attorneys. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in legal research, drafting and reviewing pleadings, petitions, and other court documents, and supporting the preparation of case files for hearings in Trial Courts, Tribunals, and the Telangana High Court. The intern will help organize and summarize case materials, maintain documentation, and contribute to client communication under supervision. The role may also involve attending court proceedings, preparing brief notes of arguments, and coordinating with the legal team to ensure timely filing and compliance with procedural requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law and familiarity with civil and/or criminal procedure, with an interest in litigation and trial practice.
- Ability to assist with Legal Consulting activities, including case assessment and basic advisory support under supervision.
- Skills in Legal Document Preparation, such as drafting petitions, affidavits, notices, and maintaining case files.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with attorneys, court staff, and clients, and for preparing clear written summaries.
- Capacity to identify and analyze Legal Issues, conduct structured legal research, and present findings concisely.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Comfort with basic legal research tools and office software (e.g., online legal databases, word processing, and document management).
