Hiring: Legal Manager – Debt Management

We are looking for a
Legal Manager – Debt Management for a leading bank to manage legal recovery, litigation, and debt collection matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle legal recovery and litigation matters related to loan defaults and overdue accounts.
- Manage proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and Section 25 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act.
- Handle recovery proceedings under the SARFAESI Act and arbitration processes.
- Draft and review legal notices, petitions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with external advocates, collection teams, and internal stakeholders for effective recovery.
- Monitor ongoing legal cases and ensure timely follow-ups and compliance with applicable legal procedures.
- Support the Debt Management team in strengthening legal recovery and resolution of delinquent accounts.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: LL.B. (3-year or 5-year course) from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Legal Collections/Recovery with a Bank or NBFC.
- Strong knowledge of SARFAESI, Section 138 of the NI Act, Section 25 of the PSS Act, arbitration, and litigation procedures.
- Excellent legal drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination abilities.
Preferred Candidate: Candidates with hands-on experience in banking/NBFC legal recovery and debt management.
