Role overview
We are hiring Litigation Associates for our Bengaluru office to work across a genuinely diverse docket: criminal complaints, recovery suits, commercial disputes, injunctions, writs and arbitration-related litigation. It suits litigators with a couple of years behind them who want serious courtroom exposure, high-quality drafting and direct client contact, with real responsibility from day one.
What you will do
- Draft plaints, written statements, rejoinders, applications, complaints, legal notices and petitions
- Appear before Trial Courts, City Civil Courts, Magistrate and Sessions Courts, Commercial Courts, Consumer Commissions and the High Court of Karnataka
- Own case strategy, legal research and briefing of senior counsel
- Manage case files, limitation tracking and procedural compliance
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders on case progress
What we are looking for
- 1 to 3 years in litigation, with hands-on drafting and court experience
- A good command of English drafting
- A solid grasp of CPC, CrPC, Evidence Act and the Commercial Courts Act
- The confidence to handle court appearances independently
- Discipline, an ownership mindset and real eagerness to learn
- The temperament to work at pace
- Immediate availability
Qualification
LL.B. from a recognised university and enrolment with a State Bar Council (Karnataka Bar Council preferred).
