Job Description
Position: Legal Assistant
Department: Legal & Compliance
Qualification: LL.b
Experience: 5-7 year in litigation and non-litigation;
CTC: 6 to 7 LPA
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Company’s lawyers and legal officers with day-to-day legal activities.
- Prepare, format, review and maintain legal documents, Court filings, agreements, notices, letters, reports and.
- Conduct legal research using applicable laws, regulations, case laws, and government resources.
- Maintain and organize legal files, records, contracts, and case documents.
- Track court cases, hearings, deadlines, renewals, notices, and legal correspondence.
- Assist in drafting routine correspondence, legal notices, applications, and internal communications.
- Review contracts and documents for basic completeness, missing information, dates, signatures, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with lawyers, clients, government departments, courts, vendors, and other stakeholders as required. Briefing advocates and counsels.
- Attend proceedings before various courts, including the High Court of Bombay and National Company Law Tribunal.
- Maintain contract registers, litigation trackers, compliance records, and legal databases.
- Assist with filing and submission of documents to courts, authorities, or government offices.
- Schedule meetings, hearings, calls, and appointments for the legal team.
- Prepare meeting notes, action points, and follow-up trackers.
- Support due diligence, document verification, and legal audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and business information.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the legal department.
Skills & Qualifications
Common requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.), experience in workings and filings of Bombay High Court and National Company Law Tribunal will be preferred.
- Knowledge of basic legal terminology and documentation.
- Strong MS Word and Excel skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Legal research and document-review skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
