Job Title: Legal Advisor – Fintech

Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified Legal Advisor to provide legal and regulatory support for our fintech operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable financial, data protection, and corporate laws while supporting business growth through legally sound practices.
Key Responsibilities1. Regulatory & Compliance
- Interpret and ensure compliance with fintech regulations including RBI guidelines, digital lending norms, payment regulations, and data protection laws.
- Monitor changes in financial and technology regulations and advise management on legal risks.
- Assist in licensing, filings, and regulatory communication with authorities.
2. Contract Drafting & Negotiation
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as:
- Vendor agreements
- Merchant agreements
- NDAs, MSAs, and SLAs
- Partnership and API integration agreements
- Maintain and update standard legal templates and policies.
3. Legal Advisory to Business Teams
- Provide day-to-day legal support to product, operations, finance, and technology teams.
- Review new product features, marketing campaigns, and partnerships for legal and regulatory risks.
4. Data Privacy & Cyber Law Compliance
- Ensure company practices comply with data privacy and information security regulations.
- Draft and update privacy policies, terms of use, and user agreements.
5. Risk Management & Dispute Handling
- Identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support in handling customer disputes, notices, and litigation coordination with external counsel.
6. Corporate Legal & Governance
- Assist in corporate governance, board documentation, and company secretarial coordination.
- Support due diligence for investors, partnerships, and business expansion.
Required Qualifications
- LLB from a recognized university (LLM preferred)
- Enrolled with Bar Council of India
- 2–3 years of experience in fintech, NBFC, banking
