Legacy Risk Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Account Service Manager to join our PointeNorth Insurance Division. As a full-service independent insurance agency, we are looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional to support our Commercial Lines Account Managers in delivering exceptional service.
In this role, you will assist with renewals and ongoing account servicing while building a strong foundation in commercial lines. You will work within carrier rating platforms and underwriting guidelines, contributing to the marketing, placement, and servicing of both new and renewal business. Success in this position requires delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality support to internal partners. This is a hybrid position offering a combination of in-office and remote work flexibility.
- Greet and assist clients and visitors upon arrival
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Assist walk-in clients with payments and billing inquiries
- Coordinate on-demand and renewal certificate issuance
- Process policy change requests with carriers
- Handle routine audits (non-premium-bearing or minimal impact); escalate others to Account Manager or Producer
- Submit policies for review to third-party vendors
- Review carrier-issued endorsements for accuracy
- Process cancellations, including direct bill non-pay and LPR requests; route non-renewals appropriately
- Escalate premium-bearing change requests and audits as needed
- Complete Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requests for underwriting purposes
- Order loss runs upon request
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience with Applied Epic preferred
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- 1–3 years of insurance industry experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities
