About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated graduate to drive forward a strategic Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Recovery Connections, a Middlesborough-based addition recovery charity. You will be employed by Leeds Trinity University but will be seconded to work full-time to deliver the 2 year KTP project at Recovery Connections, Middlesborough. A KTP is a three-way project between a graduate, an organisation and a university aimed at driving innovation and growth by transferring academic knowledge and expertise into a business environment. This KTP aims to improve collective efficacy and social value by creating pathways to community engagement, social enterprise and active citizenship for people in addiction recovery and for equivalent marginalised groups. This exciting project will expand the work of Inclusive Recovery Cities, a social movement based on lived experience recovery communities, which come together to celebrate the achievement of addiction recovery through public-facing events and programmes. The Project Manager will work alongside staff at both Recovery Connections and the Centre for Addiction Recovery at Leeds Trinity University, supporting further engagement, building new networks and connections, improving civic participation, and in doing so challenging stigma and exclusion. Currently there are 10 Inclusive Recovery Cities in the UK and 32 globally. The project manager will Engage and inspire Recovery Connections teams, supporting them to engage with communities, and supporting recovery celebrations that promote community cohesion and challenge stigma and exclusion. Lead on the implementation and support roll-out of the Inclusive Recovery City model Identify and sustain excellent working relationships with a range of key stakeholders and community groups Build partnership models and liaise with community organisations to support the goals of Inclusive Recovery Cities
