Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lecturer for Mathematics role based in Hyderabad. The lecturer will plan and deliver undergraduate and/or pre-university mathematics courses, including preparing lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessments aligned with the curriculum. Day-to-day responsibilities include teaching mathematics and applied mathematics topics, guiding students through problem-solving, conducting tutorials, and evaluating student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations. The lecturer will participate in curriculum development, contribute to academic planning, maintain accurate records of student progress, and provide academic mentoring and support. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, attending departmental meetings, and engaging in academic events and initiatives to enhance the learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with the ability to teach core and advanced topics clearly and effectively.
- Skills in Teaching and Curriculum Development, including designing lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources aligned with institutional standards.
- Knowledge of Statistics and related quantitative methods, with the ability to integrate these concepts into relevant courses when required.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at college or higher-secondary level, with a track record of student engagement and successful learning outcomes.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices, continuous professional development, and adherence to institutional policies and academic integrity.
