Schedule:

Full Time: 8:30 am- 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday with overtime as required

 

Position Summary: 

This position will be responsible for packing domestic and international orders or accessory packs, kits, and component packs.

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Pack and route all domestic & international orders for all LECO departments
  • Use knowledge of shipping procedures and rates to ship orders efficiently to customer
  • Compare quantities and identification numbers of parts against customer orders for accuracy
  • Assemble wooden and cardboard containers and skids for orders
  • Insert parts and equipment into containers in a manner that ensures safe shipment to customer
  • Pack and label hazardous materials in proper Department of Transportation containers
  • Verify the issue of parts and equipment against orders 
  • Store and assist in maintaining packing supplies
  • Convert English weights and measures to metric whenever needed on international shipments
  • Provide packing supplies and expertise to all LECO departments and subsidiaries
  • Has authority to determine best shipping method for an order when not specified
  • Has authority to question the visual quality of items being packed for shipment
  • Pack accessory packs, kits, and component packs
  • Other duties assigned by the Shipping Supervisor or Group leader

 

Position Requirements: 

  • Must be quality-oriented
  • Neatness and orderliness and good with numbers
  • Lift truck license

 

Education/Certifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
